[JAN-09] The early episodes don't make it immediately clear how J.R.'s exit will be handled. (Hagman filmed six episodes before his death; J.R.'s funeral is scheduled to air on March 11.) In the meantime, J.R. will be busy helping his son John Ross claim a bigger shareholder's stake in Ewing Energies — a plan that involves John Ross teaming up with Rebecca (er, Pamela) to make sure Christopher can't get an annulment. Sounds like a good start, but John Ross will have a big Stetson to fill. Tv Guide [Out/30] Annie Wersching, who is perhaps best known as 24‘s plucky FBI agent Renee Walker, next is setting her sights on TNT’s Dallas. TVLine has learned exclusively that the actress will recur during Season 2 of the hit cable drama as an ambitious and sexy transportation commissioner. Sources tell me that Wersching’s character, though married, just might mix it up with John Ross and/or Christopher. [Out/23] Mexican film star Kuno Becker, 34, has been signed to play Andres, the troubled brother of Elena (Jordana Brewster). As a boy, Andres ("Drew" to friends and family) witnessed his papa's death, which turned him into an angry juvenile delinquent. He ended up enlisting in the military, and after a tour in Iraq straightened him up, found work on oil rigs all over the globe. He's sure to provoke the wrath of Bobby, J.R. and all the Ewings when he returns to Southfork to continue drilling where his father left of. TV Guide [Out/19] Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark are bringing their long-suffering Knots Landing characters, Gary and Valene Ewing, back to Dallas for a big family reunion set to air in Spring 2013 TV Guide Out/14 - Judith Light is relocating to Dallas, and, no question about it, she’ll be the boss. TVLine has learned exclusively that the Emmy-winning TV vet (Who’s the Boss, Ugly Betty, One Life to Live) is joining the second season of the TNT hit as an authoritative and controlling battle-ax who will fight to the death to protect the people she loves. And for the people she loves, she uses every psychological trick in the book to make them do what she wants. Aug/14 - Two new series regulars will be introduced in the second season. One is Emma, a wealthy twenty-something woman who is poised, classy, and slightly aloof -- understandable, given the fact that she's spent most of her life sheltered in an ivory tower, thanks to her father. The other is Drew Ramos, Elena's older brother, who was deeply damaged by his father's death and spent a lot of time as a troubled druggie. He's cleaned up his act now, and he's back to finish what their father started. Zap2It |
